Call for Papers: Language Matters Annual Special Issue on Language Politics in
Africa

The editors of Language Matters: Studies in the Languages of Africa are
inviting submissions to the annual special issue, ''Language Politics in
Africa.'' The ninth special issue is currently in preparation.

With the special issue, Language Matters provides an international forum for
empirical contributions that deal with aspects of language intervention or
decision-making (i.e. language policy, language planning, language
management), language development, language and power, language and identity,
language conflict, language movements, etc. Contributions should clearly focus
on language situations on the African continent.

Articles not related to language politics will also be considered for
inclusion in the journal's two annual general issues. 

Requirements: Submissions should adhere to the guidelines for authors provided
at Information for Authors at

Articles should be submitted online: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rlms
Deadline for submissions: 15 August 2017 but later submissions will be
considered for the 2018 issue.
