Meeting Description:

The Special Interest Group (SIG) on Computational Linguistics of the German
Linguistic Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sprachwissenschaft, DGfS) would
like to invite abstract submissions for the computational linguistics poster
session of the 40th DGfS conference.


Call for Papers:

We invite international submissions from all areas of computational
linguistics and natural language processing. The posters are meant to
illustrate the breadth of computational linguistic research and are not
limited to particular topics.

Both posters and demos are welcome. Submissions can be in German or English.
We especially encourage students and junior researchers to participate.

Represented at this conference are numerous subfields of linguistics, so this
is a venue where you can share your work with colleagues both in and out of
the computational linguistics field.

Important dates:

- Submission deadline: 31 August 2017 
- Acceptance notifications: 22 September 2017
- Final abstracts due: TBA
- Meeting: 7-9 March 2018  (Stuttgart, Germany)

Submission format:

Abstracts should be in the following format:
- language: English or German
- 1 page total (including headline and references)
- A4 paper size
- 12pt font
- single spaced

Stipend:

There will be a stipend of 250 Euros available for a student presenting at the
poster session. In order to apply for the stipend, the applicant has to be a
student (i.e., qualify for DGfS student rates) and has to have been a DGfS
member for at least one year.
Please indicate your interest in the stipend with your submission.
