Subject: A Challenge for YOU!

 
LINGUIST-Listers of the world,

We hereby pronounce the annual LINGUIST-List Challenge season open! 

As part of our Fund Drive, every year we launch a world-wide contest of the
most collectively generous donnors, which unfolds into four parts:

- The Countries Challenge: http://funddrive.linguistlist.org/country/
- The Regions Challenge: http://funddrive.linguistlist.org/region/
- The University Challenge: http://funddrive.linguistlist.org/university/
- The SubField Challenge: http://funddrive.linguistlist.org/subfield/

Last year, in 2016, Syntacticians won the Subfield Contest,  and the School
winner was the University of Washington (though in close competition with
Indiana University!) A round of applause for Last Year's winners! 

The Countries and Regions challenges are not about the amount of money
donated, but about the number of donors. We encourage Linguists of all the
earth to represent their country on the LINGUIST List Fund Drive - even if
that means only donating 1 dollar per person!

Each and every one of you is guarantied to fall into one of these contestant
categories. Now the question is: are you ready to take part in the challenge?
Who will be the 2017 LINGUIST List Challenge Champions?
