Focus: A two-week intensive and immersive summer course for high school students interested in learning Arabic at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Description:
The Summer Institute for Languages of the Muslim World (SILMW) provides a
unique opportunity for high school students interested in learning Arabic.
This is a 2-week intensive and immersive program held on the campus of the 
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. High school students enrolled in
this program will earn 2 hours of college credit and gain foundational skills
in the Arabic language. In addition to 4 hours of daily classroom instruction,
students will take part in a variety of cultural activities intended to
immerse them in the Arabic language. These include conversation tables, movie
nights, cooking classes, game nights, field trips, and much more!



Subject Languages: Arabic, Standard

Tuition Explanation: Residential Student – $2300 and includes tuition, program fees, activities
fees, materials, room and board, and meals. Commuter Student – $1150 and
includes tuition, program fees, activities fees, and materials.

Full and Partial scholarships and financial aid are available.


Financial Aid: Applications accepted until 30-Apr-2017
