Dear Linguists of all Countries, Regions, Subfields and Universities,

The LINGUIST List 2017 Challenge has just reached the end of its tenth day!
Computational Linguists are still in the lead, with Syntacticians and
Sociolinguists as closest competitors, while the University of Washington is
now far ahead of Indiana University and the University of South Carolina! Will
they catch up? Will they be passed by yet another University? There are still
4 and a half weeks to go! The United States are at the moment the biggest
donors, followed by the United Kingdom and Spain, who are the leaders in
Europe!

Who will claim the 1st places this year? Donate here to take part in the race:
http://funddrive.linguistlist.org Everyone belongs to at least one of the
contestant categories!

While the competition continues to run fiercely, we'd like to take a moment to
thank all of you who donated for your generosity. It is truly encouraging to
see these donations coming to us from all over the world, and from all
subfields of our discipline. We still have some way to go before we reach our
goal!
