Description:

As a Speech Scientist you work on data collections for customer projects as
need comes up. You are also part of the Admin team which manages a pool of
more than 100 student worker and contractors of native speakers.

As a practically-orientated and hands-on individual you enjoy working your
wide-ranging tasks. Your solution-oriented thinking allows you to adapt to
unknown tasks and situations easily. Your linguistic skills are needed to
successfully support our customer projects with students and contractors and
to maintain, facilitate and validate the results of native speakers creating
input for data collections and assuring the quality of work packages delivered
by external suppliers.
  
Responsibilities:
- Plan and assign work requests to 100+ people in contractor pool for project
support in Aachen and Nuance worldwide
- Mid- and long-term planning of work distribution on customer projects
- Support the handling of invoices of contractors together with the Nuance
Finance team
- Guide and support students and contractors regarding all administrative
issues 
- Handle various overviews on 100+ people including frequent updates
- Support recruitment of new students and contractors for the Aachen students’
pool 
- Prepare input for data collections in various languages 
- Execution of internal data collections
- Support and evaluation of data annotation
 
Qualifications:
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
- German language skills are a plus
- Logistics and organizational managing skills
- Proven skills of MS office
 
 
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Skills in at least one more European language 
- Experience with data collection
- Proven experience in working with students
- Python skills are a plus

Education: Studies of business administration, linguistics, psychology or
similar field
Promising graduates, newcomers, who have a serious interest in learning new
things and returners are also encouraged to apply.
