BACKGROUND

The Computational Linguistics / Dialogue Systems Group (DSG) was established
in 2010 as part of the Faculty of Linguistics and Literature at Bielefeld
University.

Bielefeld is a mid-sized city in the center of Germany. It is a pretty, quiet
place, surrounded by beautiful forests offering many possibilites for
recreational outdoor activities. Bielefeld is connected to Germany's
high-speed rail system, and its central location means that most metropolitan
areas in Germany (Berlin, Dusseldorf / Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg) can be
reached easily.

- a statement of research interests and/or a sketch of a possible PhD project
within the parameters explained above;

- copy of course transcripts (class titles & grades) and, if already in hand,
graduation documents
- if applicable, (links to) sample publications and / or sample programming
