Journal of Arabic Linguistics Tradition (JALT), an electronic refereed
journal, welcomes scholarly articles and book reviews that contribute to the
study and research in the field of Arabic linguistics tradition, encompassing
the whole range of phonological, morphological, syntactic, semantic,
lexicographic, and other related analyses and specific contributions of
linguists since the tradition's earliest inception (around the 8th Century)
until the end of the 14th Century. The journal accepts articles in English and
Arabic. The journal also welcomes translation articles, especially those
accompanied by commentary and/or analyses sections. 
To be considered for the next issue (volume 15), submissions are due September
1. We also consider submissions on a rolling basis.

Submission Format & Guidelines

Article length: 8,000 words max (Times New Roman, 12 pt,). Book review length:
1,500-2,000 words max. 

Manuscript submitted to the journal should be accompanied by an abstract not
exceeding 200 words. Please include key words (7-10 words). 

Please submit two electronic copies, an original MS Word document and a PDF
version, where all the characters are properly embedded. Footnotes should
appear at the foot of the relevant page. IPA symbols must be used throughout
except for proper names, in which case authors are advised to follow IPA or
other common spelling of such names. 

To aid the external review, please submit both electronic copies fully
anonymized--by removing author's name and all identifying information from the
article. Attach a cover sheet containing the title of the article, author's
name/authors' names, email address, street mailing address, phone number, and
academic affiliation.
