International Journal of English Studies (IJES) is an academic journal
published twice a year (June and December) that seeks to reflect developments
in the general field of English Studies.

IJES is indexed in SCOPUS, MLA, ERIH PLUS, Emerging Sources Citation Index and
SCImago Journal & Country Rank (2015: SJR 0.208; SNIP 0.178; CiteSCORE 0.41).
The journal is also proud to have been awarded the FECYT Quality Award.

We particularly welcome data-driven manuscripts within, but not limited to,
the following fields:

- Phonetics and phonology
- Morphology and syntax
- Lexicology and lexicography
- Semantics and pragmatics
- Sociolinguistics
- Historical linguistics
- Discourse analysis and stylistics
- Applied linguistics

Contributions may be in the form of quality research articles (6,000-8,000
words) or critical book reviews. Submissions undergo a strict two-step blind
peer-review process undertaken by experts in the corresponding area of each
contribution.
