Meeting Description:

The 21st Workshop on the Semantics and Pragmatics of Dialogue (SemDial 2017 –
SaarDial) will be held on August 15-17 in Saarbrücken, Germany.

The SemDial brings together researchers working on the semantics and
pragmatics of dialogue in fields such as formal semantics and pragmatics,
computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, philosophy, psychology,
and neuroscience.  Continuing with a series of successful twenty previous
meetings, this workshop will be held together with SIGdial 2017.

SaarDial will be the 21st edition of the SemDial workshop series, which aims
to bring together researchers working on the semantics and pragmatics of
dialogue in fields such as formal semantics and pragmatics, computational
linguistics, artificial intelligence, philosophy, psychology, and
neuroscience. In 2017 the workshop will be hosted by the Spoken Language
Systems Group, Saarland University, and will be collocated with the 18th
Annual SIGdal Meeting on Discourse and Dialogue.

- Interpretation and reasoning in dialogue systems
- Dialogue management
- Designing and evaluating dialogue systems
- SIGdial&SemDial Joint Special Session on Negotiation Dialogue

Authors should submit an anonymous paper of at most 8 pages of content (up to
2 additional pages are allowed for references).
