Linguistic Field(s): Language Documentation

Call Deadline: 31-Jan-2018

Meeting Description:

The theme of DLAP-3 will be ‘Working with Communities: Toward reclamation of
linguistic and cultural heritage’. There will be a post-conference field trip
to the Black Tai community in Petchaburi province.

The aim of the conference is to consider the benefits, methodologies, and
challenges of working with communities in attempts to revitalize linguistic
and cultural heritage. In order to build effective and sustainable “Linguistic
and Cultural Heritage Documentation and Revitalization” movements,
collaboration with communities is important, however, so far there has been
limited accumulation of knowledge and tools. We therefore propose a forum for
exchanging our experiences and thoughts about any aspect of working with
communities.

Call for Papers:

The theme of DLAP-3 will be ‘Working with Communities: Toward reclamation of
linguistic and cultural heritage’.

We also welcome contributions regarding the general topic of “Linguistic and
Cultural Heritage Documentation and Revitalization”, particularly in Asian
contexts.

A limited number of travel supports will be available.

For a presentation at the DLAP-3 Conference:
