Meeting Description:

This symposium addresses topics in bilingual child, adult, and heritage
speaker grammatical processing, including but not limited to:

- Lexical, morphological and syntactic processing
- Crosslinguistic influence in bilingual speech production and comprehension
- Code-switching
- Cognitive consequences of multilingualism
- Language processing in attrition
- Implications of multilingual language processing for teaching.

ISBPAC-TU will bring together researchers from different disciplines (e.g.
linguistics, psychology, cognitive sciences, neuroscience and language
pedagogy) who investigate bilingual and L2 processing.

Keynote Speakers:

Vicky Chondrogianni (University of Edinburgh)
Ian Cunnings (University of Reading)
Janet van Hell (Pennsylvania State University)

Pre-conference workshop

We are hosting a workshop on eye-tracking in bilingual and L2 processing, led
by Theres Grüter (University of Hawaii), during the afternoon of Wednesday, 23
May 2018.


2nd Call for Papers:

We encourage you to submit abstracts that address topics in bilingual child,
adult, and heritage speaker grammatical processing, including but not limited
to:

Abstract length: up to 300 words (excl. references)
You may add a second page with relevant graphs, tables, figures and
references.

Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Open Office (.odt) document
A4 page with 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins
1.5 line spacing
Text: Times New Roman, 12-point font
Page 1: Title (in bold, 14-point Times New Roman), 4 blank lines, abstract
Page 2 (if applicable): Graphs, tables, figures and references.

Please specify whether you wish your submission to be considered for oral
presentation, a poster, or for both categories. Oral presentations will be 20
minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion. Posters will be in A0 portrait format.
