Meeting Description:

The English Department at Florida International University is pleased to
announce that we will host the Florida Linguistics Yearly Meeting in April
2018. FLYM is an annual event located at distinct venues each year which
focuses primarily on syntactic theory and analysis. This year, we also invite
work in experimental linguistics relating to syntax, including processing,
acquisition, and brain studies.​

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Robert Fiorentino, University of Kansas


2nd Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for FLYM 2018 for 20-minute oral presentation (plus 10
minutes for discussion) or poster presentation. Abstracts should not exceed
one page, 12 points single-spaced, with an optional additional page for
references and data. Submissions should be anonymous. Contact details
(name(s), affiliation, and email), along with the title of the talk or poster,
should be included in the body of the email. Abstracts should be attached in
PDF or Word format.

Abstracts should be submitted to: flym2018 at gmail.com

Deadline for submission: December 1, 2017
Notification of acceptance: January 15, 2018
