Meeting Description:

The National University of Singapore will host a two-day Workshop on Current
Issues in Comparative Syntax: Past, Present, and Future, March 1-2, 2018. All
are welcome to attend.

The Workshop will bring together established and emerging scholars who have
worked extensively on major language regions of the world and/or issues
related to cross-linguistic variation. The plenary speakers below and
additional speakers TBA will offer talks on fundamental questions in
contemporary syntactic theory and syntactic variation and how their languages
of interest can shed light on these questions. We are also soliciting poster
presentations.

Call for Papers:

We invite interested scholars to present a poster on the Workshop theme: A
question in contemporary syntactic theory and/or syntactic variation and how
novel empirical evidence can shed light on this question. Limited spaces are
available for posters.

Please email ellys at nus.edu.sg and mitcho at nus.edu.sg with a short paragraph
description (200 words) of your poster topic. The deadline for submission is
December 31, 2017, but we will consider submissions on a rolling basis, so
interested authors are encouraged to write us sooner rather than later.
