Description:

The University of Göttingen, Philosophical Faculty, Seminar of Linguistics,
seeks to fill by April 1st, 2018, the post of a lecturer (=Akademische/r
Rätin/Rat auf Zeit), A13 NBesO, 40 h/week.

The position will be first filled for 3 years and can be prolonged for further
3 years according to the regulations of §31 NHG.

Job contents:
(a) research on relevant fields of general linguistics
(b) teaching 4h/week according to the current regulations of teaching
obligations
(c) collaboration in the academic administration and the development of
teaching curricula
(d) participation in the projects of the Seminar of Linguistics, collaboration
in the research centers of the Linguistics at the University of Göttingen.
(e) further qualification at the habilitation level is possible.

We expect: 
(a) an excellent MA-degree and completed PhD in linguistics 
(b) research focus on grammatical theory (morphology/syntax)
(c) expertise in language comparison and/or linguistic fieldwork.

Further employment requirements follow from §31, par. 3 of the NHG
(Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz), current version, and the §1, paragraph 2,
of the regulations for the employment and evaluation of lecturers
(=Akademische/r Rätin/Rat auf Zeit). Details can be provided upon request.
