Meeting Description:

The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru (India) is happy to
host the International Conference of South Asian Languages and Literatures
(ICOSAL-13) during January 8-10, 2018.

The International Conference of South Asian Languages and Literatures (ICOSAL)
is an international forum of scholars from across the globe that deliberates
on various aspects of the languages and literatures of South Asia. Four of the
past twelve conferences were hosted by the Institute of Asian and African
Studies, Moscow State University, Moscow. Eight conferences of ICOSAL have
been held in India at Punjabi University, University of Hyderabad, Annamalai
University, Osmania University, Punjabi University (second time), Aligarh
Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University and again in University of
Hyderabad.
The 13th ICOSAL will be held in CIIL, Mysuru.

Important Dates:

Abstract submission deadline: October 06, 2017 
Notification of acceptance: October 31, 2017
Full paper submission deadline: November 30, 2017. 
Conference dates: January 8-10, 2018.

International Conference of South Asian Languages and Literatures (ICOSAL-13)

We encourage submissions on any current research on South Asian Languages and
Literatures. The areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the
following: Anthropological Linguistics; Applied Linguistics; Clinical
Linguistics; Cognitive Linguistics; Computational Linguistics; Corpus
Linguistics; Discourse Analysis; Eco-linguistics; Forensic Linguistics;
Genetic Classification; Historical Linguistics; Indian Grammatical Tradition;
Language Acquisition; Language Contact and Language Change; Language
Education; Language Endangerment and Language Documentation; Language
Planning; Lexicology & Lexicography; Linguistic Typology; Literacy studies and
Literary theories; Literature; Morphology; Natural Language Processing;
Neurolinguistics; Pragmatics; Philosophy of Language; Phonetics and Phonology;
Psycholinguistics; Semantics; Semiotics and Sign Language; Sociolinguistics;
Stylistics; Syntax; Translation; Writing Systems.

Submission Guidelines:

Abstracts should be submitted in English and should be sent by October 06,
2017 using the
EasyAbs System at http://linguistlist.org/easyabs/ICOSAL13 .

Authors may maximally submit one single-authored abstract and/or one
co-authored abstract. Abstracts must be anonymous and fit on at most 2 pages
including examples, tables/figures and references (using 12-point Times New
Roman with reasonable margins).

Full paper Submission deadline: November 30, 2017
Conference dates: January 8-10, 2018

Registration Fee:

Details about the registration fees will be provided later.
Please note the accompanying person(s) if any, will also have to register.

Visas:
All non-Indian citizens who are attending the Conference need a Visa to enter
India. Please contact the Indian Consulate nearest to you for Visa procedures.
When your abstract is accepted, you will be issued an official letter of
invitation to the Conference, which you can submit with your Visa application.

Lodging:
Accommodation will be arranged in the International Guest House and SRLC Guest
House & Hostel attached to the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysuru.
Hotel accommodation on payment will be secured if prior intimation is given to
us. A list of hotels and tariff will be provided in the next announcement.
