Description:

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese at the University of Toronto invites
applications for a teaching-stream position in Spanish at the rank of
Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, effective July 1, 2018. 

Qualified candidates must have earned a PhD in Spanish (area open) by date of
the application. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate the
Spanish language sequence and to teach large and small undergraduate courses
in Spanish from the introductory to advanced levels, as well as develop new
initiatives in experiential learning. 

Requirements include at least two years of experience in language coordination
at peer institutions, current knowledge of language-teaching pedagogy, a
record of excellence in teaching, and a solid record of pedagogical
scholarship relevant to the position.
