Meeting Description:

Every spring, the Linguistics Graduate Student Association at UNC-Chapel Hill
puts on its annual Spring Colloquium. We invite fellow linguists from all over
to present and discuss current topics of interest in the field in an all-day
conference. This coming spring it will take place on April 7, with Penelope
Eckert, from Stanford University, as our keynote speaker.


Call for Papers:

The Linguistics Department at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is
now accepting abstracts for their 2018 UNC Spring Linguistics Colloquium. The
conference will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 with Penelope Eckert, from
Stanford University, as keynote speaker. Papers are invited on any topic in
Theoretical Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. Presentations will be 20
minutes long (in English) followed by a 10-minute discussion period.

Abstract Guidelines:

Please send your abstract as a PDF attachment to the email given below.
Abstracts should be no longer than one page in 12-point font, with an optional
second page for examples, figures, tables, or references. 

Please do not include any author information in your abstract, but do provide
the following information in the body of your message:

a) Title of paper
b) Author's name(s) and affiliations(s) 
c) Email address
d) Mailing address and phone number

Please send your abstract as an attachment in your email message to:
LingColloquium at unc.edu. 

Deadline for submission will be Monday, February 26, 2018. Those accepted will
be notified by Monday, March 5, 2018.
