Description:

The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Indiana University-Purdue
University Indianapolis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or
Associate Professor of Spanish, with expertise in Spanish Linguistics
(Applied) to begin August 1, 2018.  A specialty in Second Language
Acquisition, Second Language Teaching and Learning or Teacher Education in
Spanish is most desirable.  Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics
or in a related field of Spanish or linguistics; native or near-native
proficiency in Spanish; and evidence or promise of outstanding research,
teaching, and service accomplishment. Teaching duties will include
undergraduate B.A. courses and graduate courses in the Master of Arts in the
Teaching of Spanish.  
 
Based in one of the largest cities in the Mid-West, IUPUI enrolls more than
30,000 students bringing together the strengths of Indiana University and
Purdue University to offer one of the widest range of degrees in the US. In
the latest rankings, IUPUI is in the top twenty national universities for Best
Undergraduate Teaching.
