Description:

The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Indiana University-Purdue
University Indianapolis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or
Associate Professor of Spanish and Translation Studies to begin August 1, 2018
with Ph.D. in Spanish, Translation, or cognate area; teaching expertise in
Spanish for specific purposes and theory and practice of translation (and/or
interpreting); native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; and record of
outstanding research and teaching. Secondary area of interest in Peninsular
Literature or Hispanic Linguistics is highly desirable. Teaching duties will
include undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish-English translation and
translation theory in the Graduate Certificate in Translation Studies and a
future M.A. program in Translation Studies. 

Based in one of the largest cities in the Mid-West, IUPUI enrolls more than
