Description:

The Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Spanish Linguistics at the
level of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August 2018.  Ph.D.
required; native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. 
Specializations in Spanish syntax and pragmatics preferred.  Candidates
working from language acquisition perspectives highly desirable.  The
candidate selected must demonstrate a strong research agenda and will be
required to teach courses in Spanish linguistics at the Ph.D., M.A. and
undergraduate levels.  Teaching load 2/2.
