TIE2018, to be held at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, from 11-13
October 2018,  continues the tradition of the biennial international TIE
conference series on Tone and Intonation.

Final Call for Papers:

TIE2018 continues the tradition of the biennial international TIE conference
series on Tone and Intonation. We welcome contributions on topics related to
the linguistic aspects of tone and intonation in any language, including, but
not limited to:

- Phonetics
- Phonology
- Psycholinguistics
- Neurolinguistics
- Diachronic issues
- Typological issues
- Intonation in other modalities
- The interface between tone/intonation and grammatical structure or
information structure
- The interaction of tone and intonation with each other and with other
aspects of prosody

For TIE2018, we are particularly interested in promoting research that
showcases:

typological research on tone and intonation, in particular investigations of
tone and intonation in understudied languages.

We welcome submissions on any topic related to the analysis of tone and
intonational prosody. Talks will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for
questions. There will also be a poster session. We particularly welcome
submissions on understudied languages. PhD students and early career
researchers are especially encouraged to submit. Each individual may submit a
maximum of one abstract as first author (or sole author), and a maximum of two
abstracts in total. Abstracts will be (blindly) peer-reviewed by an
international panel of reviewers.

Abstract guidelines:

Maximum 2 pages of A4 paper, including references, examples, tables, and
figures.
12 pt Times New Roman font, or similar.

One-inch (2.54 cm) margins on all sides.

Anonymous (please do not include author details or citations to unpublished
work).
PDF format, uploaded into EasyChair.

Abstracts not following these guidelines will be rejected without review.

Abstract submission, reviewing, and notification of acceptance will be handled
using EasyChair.
