Meeting Description:

This year’s symposium focuses on the importance of the local context in the
CLIL classroom, including issues in the teaching of intercultural competencies
and contents, assessment for learning, and innovative practices and solutions
for the CLIL classroom.

We are very fortunate to have experienced keynote speakers in the field of
CLIL from Austria, Argentina, the UK and the U.S.; Christiane Dalton-Puffer,
Dario Banegas, Ester de Jong, and Sara Lynn. We are, as ever, committed to
bringing the latest CLIL knowledge and trends to the people who require it
most: the teachers in schools, language institutes, and universities across
Latin America.

We look forward to your participation in the 2018 7th Biennial CLIL Symposium.
All presentations, workshops, panels, etc. for the symposium will be in
English, but we welcome proposals focused on the teaching and learning of
languages other than English (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.). We are
looking forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact us via the email address clilsymposiumcolombia at gmail.com.
