Description:

The School of Linguistic Sciences and Arts invites researchers to join an
interdisciplinary team of researchers in the above-mentioned research areas.
Candidates with a doctoral degree in the above-mentioned research areas are
preferred, especially ones with quality research publications and teaching
experience.

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is not a prerequisite. For non-native Chinese
applicants, strong competence of English is required. Preference is also given
to candidates with experience or background in brain image technology (i.e.
fMRI, eye-tracking, ERPs). 

Renumeration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate
with the successful applicants' academic qualification, current position and
professional experience. Package includes monthly salary, year-end bonus, free
housing, medical insurance, pension plan, settling-in allowance (RMP
100,000-200,000), and research project start-up funding (RMP 40,000-200,000).
Exact package will vary on a case-to-case basis. Annual income range is RMB
200,000 to 1,000,000. The School of Linguistic Sciences and Arts also offers
significant incentives for achievements in publications and granted projects
as well as academic exchanges and participation to further encourage and
support academic performance.

Description of the School:
The School of Linguistic Sciences and arts at Jiangsu Normal University is the
first and only school in China specializing in linguistic research. It is a
pioneer of neurolinguistics and one of the best research centers for
linguistics study in China, with 43 full-time faculty and staff members. 

The school provides and open, dynamic research atmosphere operating an ERP
(Neuroscan 256) lab and an fMRI (GE 3.0T) lab, which provide the necessary
facilities for experimentations in neurolinguistics, psychology and cognitive
science.

Qualifications:
- PhD in lingusitics or related majors
- strong academic publication background
- teaching experience preferred
- excellent Chinese and/or English competence
- strong teamwork spirit
