Abstract:

Viele Studien belegen den Nutzen von asynchroner computervermittelter
Kommunikation für das Fremdsprachenlernen. Ein Teilbereich des
Fremdsprachenunterrichts, die Landeskunde, wurde jedoch bislang kaum
berücksichtigt. Diese Studie nimmt daher das landeskundliche Lernen in den
Blick und untersucht anhand von Daten aus einem kulturwissenschaftlich
orientierten universitären Seminar zur DaF-Landeskunde, welches Potenzial,
aber auch welche Probleme Forumsdiskussionen für kulturbezogenes Lernen
bergen. Die Analyse zeigt dabei unter anderem welche Aufgabenformate im
untersuchten Setting fruchtbar sind und bietet so Impulse für den sinnvollen
Einsatz von Forumsdiskussionen im Rahmen von Fremdsprachenstudiengängen.
