Meeting Description:

The Caucasus is the world’s distinguished region by its geographical location,
diversity of nature and geopolitical significance as well as multinational
population and multilingualism (more than 50 languages are represented in this
comparatively small area). The Caucasian linguistic world has always attracted
the attention of researchers from different countries from time immemorial. 

International scientific conferences on the issues of Georgian-Caucasian
linguistics have been held in Tbilisi since the 90s of the last century.
Conducting symposiums has become systematic since 2008. The symposiums have
been attended by specialists from the North Caucasus, Europe, Asia and the
United States together with Georgian researchers (up to 30 foreign presenters
participated in the last four symposiums). 
The goal of the symposium is to enable colleagues to share the results of
research and determine the prospects of further work and cooperation on the
basis of the discussions.

The symposium will focus on the problems of parts of speech in Ibero-Caucasian
languages.

b) Nominal Parts of Speech in Ibero-Caucasian Languages
c) Verb as a Part of Speech in Ibero-Caucasian Languages
d) Basic and Auxiliary Parts of Speech in Ibero-Caucasian Languages
e) Ibero-Caucasian Languages and Digital Technologies -  Issues of
Morphosyntactic Annotation

Paper submission guidelines:

Abstracts (maximum 2 pages, size – A4, font style – Sylfaen, font size - 12,
line spacing – 1.5) should be submitted as a Word Document attachment to the
e-mail address symposiumlc at gmail.com Abstracts should be accompanied by the
personal information of the participant.
