Focus: Courses
In order to earn 5 ECTS, participants have to fullfil the following obligatory requirements:
1. Attend at least 4 courses.
2. Give a short presentation of their PhD project (elevator pitch). 
3. Submit a project description or a draft of an article/chapter of their thesis by May, 11 at the latest. Submissions need to be sent to Claudia.Hegrenaes at nhh.no.

Description:
NHH and UiB are proud to announce the 2018 LingPhil Summer School. The Summer
School will take place in Solstrand Hotel & Bad Os, Norway from Monday 4 -
Friday 8 June 2018. 

International students who cover accommodation and meals themselves may
participate on condition that they arrange for their accommodation with the
hotel directly ahead of the event. We will provide instructions on how to do
that. Accommodation per person per day costs NOK 2585. Accommodation includes
room and meals.


Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics

Financial Aid: Applications accepted until 07-May-2018
LingPhil PhD fellows can apply for a travel grant to participate in the summer school. This grant will cover travel costs (to/from Solstrand Hotel & Spa, Os). Organizers pay for the accommodation.

International participants
The summer school courses are free of charge. LingPhil will award a maximum of 3 grants to international participants to cover expenses. This grant will be a maximum of NOK 6000. Send your application to: lingphil at hf.ntnu.no. Deadline May 7.

Please note that:

- Søknadweb will be only open from May 22 - 29 for registration. The course &
credits are awarded by NTNU. Course code: SPRÅK8880.
- Those who gained credits for LingPhil Summer School 2016 (NTNU course code
SPRÅK8880) cannot gain credits for  Summer School 2018 (they will be awarded a
diploma).
- In addition to other obligatory work, you must take at least 4 courses to
gain 5 credits. No credit reductions.
 

Signing up procedure:

First: Sign up within the deadline for signing up (May 7, 12:00).

Second: Three weeks ahead of the summer school confirm your attendance (May
27). After this date participation is binding.
