On the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Department of Modern Languages
(1 April of 1958), in the Institute of History and Letters, the School of
Modern Languages will celebrate the fifth edition of the Conferences on the
English Language. These conferences have been carried out since 2009 with the
objective of providing a space for meeting, reflection and exchange for
professors and university students in the English language, as well as for
professionals who have this language as an object of research and study. The
Conference will focus on the three pillars of university education: Teaching,
Research and Extension, and the challenges for academic transformation in each
of these areas.
