Assistant Professors

Applications are invited for two Assistant Professor positions in applied
English linguistics in the Department of English. The Department seeks
applicants from any area in the field of applied English linguistics.

Applicants should have: 
- A Ph.D. degree in applied English linguistics; 
- A record of refereed publication, and 
- Relevant undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching experience. 

The following are also desirable: 
- A record of successful grant application; 
- Experience in supervising and guiding research postgraduate students, and 
- Relevant administrative experience.

Appointments will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years
initially, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term
appointment or substantiation later.
