Meeting Description: 

In 2019 the International Mother Language Day (IMLD) will be observed in an
elaborate way at the Kitui Campus, a campus of Kenyatta University. A 3-day
conference will be held at the campus beginning on February 20 and ending on
February 22. During the conference participants will make presentations on
select topics revolving around the theme of “Hallowing Mother Language and
Cultural Diversity in Africa.

This conference is organized to coincide with when the world celebrates
linguistic diversity in general and the benefits of mother language in
particular. The 21st of February is a UN designated international mother
Language Day.
