LavLang was founded by Professor William Leap twenty-five years ago. The
conference is the international meeting point for scholars interested in
language and sexuality. The conference has historically been a friendly space
in which scholars have presented their work on language and sexuality in a
supportive environment. Undergraduate and graduate papers on sexuality are
very welcome!

Lavender Language 26 will retain its inclusive, supportive atmosphere;
submissions focusing on language and sexuality (broadly defined) are welcome.

Final Call for Papers:

We invite abstracts for presentations, which explore the linkages between
language and sexuality in the broadest sense. The conference aims to
illuminate the diversity in the field by welcoming varied topics demonstrating
the diverse theoretical, methodological and empirical contexts for researching
language and sexuality.

Deadline for individual abstracts: 30 November 2018

Length of abstracts: 250 words (please follow the guidelines posted at the
conference website: https://lavlang26.wordpress.com/abstract-submission/)

Submissions are to be made through the EasyChair system, available here:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lavlang26.

All proposals will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee based on quality
and relevance to the conference’s theme. Presenters will be notified of
acceptance by the end of December 2018. Conference fees will be announced at a
later stage depending on the outcome of funding application. More information
can be found on the conference website: https://lavlang26.wordpress.com/
