Description:

Extent of employment: Full-time position (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:
- Independent research in the field of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in
secondary school contexts (teaching methodology); conceptualizing and
conducting a habilitation project (post-doc project) in the field of English
as a foreign language in secondary school settings.
- Independent teaching of research based courses in the field of English as a
Foreign Language (EFL) in secondary school contexts (teaching methodology) and
of cross-linguistic language education 
- Conducting exams and co-supervising academic theses
- Assistance in administrative tasks (research, teaching, logistics) of the
department and the faculty, as well as cooperation with the research networks
at Innsbruck University

Required Qualifications:
- Teacher training degree in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in secondary
school contexts; 
- PhD thesis in the field of English/American studies or in the field of EFL
education in secondary school contexts or TESOL; 
- Post-doctoral research experience; 
- Habilitation project (post doc project) with a clear focus on English as a
Foreign Language (EFL) in secondary education, a five-to max.-ten-page exposé
is to be attached to the application;
- Post-doctoral experience or other relevant work experience; 
- Teaching experience in secondary education beyond the scope of the teacher
training programme is an advantage;
- Experience in tertiary teaching in the field of English as a Foreign
Language (EFL) in secondary school contexts (teaching methodology), TESOL or
in the field of English/American studies, a three-to-max.-five-page concept
for teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education in secondary school
contexts is to be attached to the application
- Experience in acquiring third-party funding; 
- Experience in mobility 
- English on C2-level according to the CEFR; German if not L1, C1-level
according to the CEFR
- Adequate computer literacy
- Ability to be innovative and creative; ability to think and act according to
institutional demands; willingness to communicate and cooperate with other
fields of subject specific education in secondary school contexts at all
levels

Salary:
The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this
position amounts to € 3.711 per month (14 times). The salary will be higher if
you have worked in a similar position before. Furthermore, the university has
