Verilogue, Inc., located in Philadelphia, PA is seeking consultants with
formal training in applied linguistics, particularly with discourse and
conversation analysis, sociolinguistic analysis and native language skills in
Japanese or English (U.K.). Consultants may work remotely (e.g., in Japan,
U.K. or other location) and are not required to be eligible to work in the US.
Candidates should be experienced with principles of applied linguistics and
ethnomethodology, have strong writing skills and an understanding of or
interest in the health care industry.

Candidates should have 3-5 years experience in a professional business
environment, including 1-2
years in qualitative market research, product marketing, or strategic
communications / public relations. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is
required. A Master’s degree with advanced coursework in applied linguistics is
preferred.

Consultants will be responsible for reading and listening to all project data
(in-office dialogue transcripts in English and audio recordings in native
language), tracking key pieces of research information from the dialogues in
an MS excel tracking document, and conducting analysis across an entire
dataset to find themes, insights and associated evidence (quotes). You will be
a part of a research team who will provide you with access to dialogue data
online. The research team will also provide an analysis plan and discuss the
project objectives and any necessary background information. Our core research
team is based in the U.S. and employs native language consultants from around
the world.

Hours: 
Each project will vary in the amount of hours required, but an average
engagement lasts 1-2 months and requires approximately 10-15 hrs per week.

Pay Rate: 
Verilogue pays consultants an hourly rate based on experience, billed monthly
via invoice.
