Meeting Description:

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and will
take place at Al al-Bayt University-Jordan.
The conference aims at promoting the interest in cognitive linguistics and its
applications in the linguistic scholarship at universities and academic
institutions. This is considered a pioneering step in this area, and it
contributes to the development of the following scientific priorities:

1. Cognitive linguistic scholarship in the academic institutions in the Arab
world.
2. Language acquisition skills and methods of Language teaching and learning
for the non-native speakers of Arabic. 
3. Methods of research in discourse analysis.
4. Computerization of Arabic language in its several disciplines:
lexicography, grammar, syntax, morphology, phonetics, and semantics.


Call for Papers:

Al al-Bayt University has the pleasure to invite you to submit your papers to
the 4th International Conference on Linguistics under the title: Cognitive
Linguistics: Theoretical Bases and Applications

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and will
take place at Al al-Bayt University-Jordan on  and Thursday 23-25 April 2019.

Guidelines for Participation:

1. Contributions should not be previously presented in another conference,
published, accepted or sent to publication in any academic journal.
2. The length of the contributions should not be less than 15 pages nor
should, it exceed 25 pages in length.
3. Contributions should follow the academic guidelines of citation and
referencing.
4. Contributions should be typed in Simplified Arabic font; size 14m, and in
Times New Roman; size 12m in English. 
5. Abstract should be 250 - 300 words.
6. Language of the contributions is Arabic; English and French contributions
are acceptable as well.
7. Deadline for accepting the abstracts of the contributions is 15/1/2019.
8. Deadline of accepting the contributions is 28/2/2019.
9. All contributions should be e-mailed to (linguistics2019 at yahoo.com);
contributions should be directly submitted on a CD-ROM(optional).
10. All contributions will be subject to a preliminary blind reviewing
process; the authors will be notified of the decision regarding their
contribution by 15/3/2019.
11. Contributors will be charged the following fees for their contributions:
_ Contributors from inside Jordan: 100 USD or equivalent.
_ Contributors from outside Jordan: 150 USD or equivalent.
12. Al al-Bayt University provides accommodation and hospitality on campus (in
the city of Mafraq- 70 km north to Amman) for the entire period of the
conference; in addition, it provides transportation from and to airport.
