Meeting Description:

The Department of Linguistics of the School of Philology, Aristotle University
of Thessaloniki, is pleased to announce that its 40th Annual Meeting will be
held in Thessaloniki on Αpril 5-6, 2019. The Meeting welcomes high-quality
contributions to the study of the Greek language from any linguistic
perspective.

The 40th Annual Meeting’s keynote speakers are Professor Robyn Carston
(University College London) and Professor Raymond W. Gibbs, Jr. (University of
California, Santa Cruz).


2nd Call for Papers:

Those interested in participating with a presentation are invited to submit,
as PDF files, two copies of their abstracts, one anonymous and one signed, to
amgl40 at lit.auth.gr, by January 25, 2019, indicating whether the submission
concerns an oral or a poster presentation.

Thematic Sessions:

The Department wishes to give colleagues with common research interests the
opportunity to organise up to five two-hourly thematic sessions. Colleagues
interested in coordinating a thematic session should submit a proposal
specifying the session’s theme, describing the theme’s significance, and
including the names of at least three session participants, together with
abstracts of their respective presentations (abstracts should conform to the
format specifications given above). Other things being equal, priority will be
given to session proposals not submitted by members of the Department.
