Description:

The role of the Linguistic Project Manager for NLU is to help develop NLU
systems in collaboration with computational linguists and linguistic
annotators.

Work will be done onsite in Mountain View, CA, with an immediate start date. 

Responsibilities include: 
- Developing NLU systems
- Advising linguistic annotators on how to complete their work
- Refining guidelines for semantic, syntactic and morphological analysis 
- Evaluating and analyzing data quality 

Job requirements: 
- Graduate degree, or comparable work experience, in Linguistics or
Computational Linguistics 
- Professional fluency in English 
- Knowledge of semantics and syntax 
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
- An interest in natural language processing 
- Excellent oral and written communication skills 
- Good organizational skills 
- Able to multitask effectively and adjust smoothly to changing priorities 
- Near-native level of at least one of the following languages: French,
Korean, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian

Preferred qualifications: 
- Experience with linguistic annotation in semantics and syntax
- Experience programming or scripting, and working in Linux/Unix environment 

Project duration: 
Estimated at 12 months (with potential for extension). This is a fixed-term
contract, not a permanent position.
