Description:

The overall role of the post is to be responsible for the experimental
approaches to morpho-phonological representation and processing, focusing on
neurolinguistic and psycholinguistic experimental research on the
comprehension of words and phrases.    

Responsibilities/duties:

To work alongside with the PI and the other postdoctoral fellows within the
FUL framework on:
- Experimental approach to investigating morpho-phonological representations
in the mental lexicon;
- Writing of research papers for internationally refereed journals and
presenting results at national and international conferences;
- Contributing to the intellectual life of the research group and the
collaboration, including participating in video and teleconference meetings as
required, and travelling for national and international collaboration when
required;  
- Contribute to the writing of reports required for extant grants and
contracts, including milestone reports, and final reports before the end of
the contract;
- Involvement in key decisions on research directions, methodologies and
research responsibilities;
- Instruction and day-to-day supervision of graduate students and others
working on the project, as required; assisting with other reasonable practical
and administrative duties as required.

Selection criteria:

Essential:
- The applicant should have background in Linguistics and must be willing to
work in a linguistically oriented environment;  
- A good first degree in either Linguistics or Psychology or a related subject
(with a focus on language);
- A doctoral degree in either Linguistics or Psychology (with a focus on
language);
- Should be fluent in English, spoken and written;
- Should demonstrate an excellent background in neurolinguistics research,
particularly in EEG;
- Should be able to carry out EEG acquisition and analysis of EEG data
independently;
- Should have a very strong statistical background;
- At least one recent publication in an internationally reputable journal;
- Experience in presenting research findings at international conferences
- Be able to demonstrate both self-motivation and the ability to work
collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable:
- Experience with eye-tracking
