Call for Papers: 

Special Issue in Honour of Frantisek Lichtenberk
Te Reo - the Journal of Linguistic Society of New Zealand is delighted to
announce a special issue in honour of Frantisek Lichtenberk as a recognition
of his many important contributions to the field of linguistics.

Frank published on many topics, including reflexives, reciprocals,
possessives, relational classifiers, individual hierarchies,
grammaticalization, Oceanic linguistics and field linguistics. He is the
author of a 1991 paper on grammaticalizaton in the prestigious journal
Language which is among the top 25 most cited and the top 10 most downloaded
papers from that journal between 1925 and 2000. His grammars of the
Austronesian languages of To'abaita and Manam have set new standards of detail
and comprehensiveness in field work.
We are inviting his former students, postdoctoral fellows, colleagues, and
researchers from all over the world to contribute to this special issue within
the entire scope of the research interests of Frantisek Lichtenberk.

The deadline for submissions is 1 September 2018. 
We are looking for academic papers ranging in length between 5,000-10,000
words. 

All submissions will go through the usual academic peer-review process. 

Te Reo is currently switching to an online, open access publication. As we
prepare the new online journla website, please see information about it at the
old link: http://www.nzlingsoc.org/tereo/te-reo/ .

We invite submissions by email to:
andreea.calude at waikato.ac.nz 
using the subject heading ''Submission special issue: Frank Lichtenberk'' to
indicate that your submission is for the special issue and not to be handled
as a regular paper.

Sumissions can follow any consistent linguisics academic practice, but once
accepted, authors will be asked to follow the Te Reo style sheet.
