Description:

The Université Bordeaux Montaigne, UFR Langues et Civilisations, Department of
Linguistics, invites applications for a Full Professor position, to be filled
at 1 September 2018, or as soon as possible thereafter. 

The successful candidate will be a linguist conducting research in one or
several of the domains specified in the job profile : multilingualism,
language contact, under-documented languages, minority languages, heritage
languages, field linguistics, language variation and structure, diatopic
variation, language and education policies, and sociolinguistics. 

The candidate will be expected to apply for national and international
funding, to contribute to the general research program of the host laboratory,
to assist in strengthening collaborations among the different research units
working in the area of linguistics at the Université Bordeaux Montaigne, and
to engage in interdisciplinary research initiatives.

A basic knowledge of French is necessary. Knowledge of Basque or Occitan, or
of any of the Heritage languages spoken in the Aquitaine region is welcome,
but not compulsory.
