Meeting Description:

The focus of this conference is the relationship between linguistic pragmatics
and philosophy, and the possible applications of the pragmatic theories to
different practical domains (including legal interpretation, medical
interviews, intercultural communication). The goal is to make different
approaches and theories meet and discuss, and consider social challenges
coming from various fields. 
 
The conference will have sessions on: 

- Pragmatics and discourse analysis
- Crucial topics in pragmatics (metaphors, emotive language, etc.)
- Pragmatics and Philosophy
- Pragmatics and argumentation theory
- Pragmatics and law


Call for Papers:

Pragmasophia II encourages contributions on both innovative theoretical
aspects of pragmatic and philosophical approaches, and applications of
theories of pragmatics and philosophy of language to discourse analysis and
social domains of practice.  

The abstracts should be of rough 300 words and shall be sent by to the
following e-mail addresses:
