Description:

The Linguistics Program at Columbia University invites applications for a
lecturer in the discipline of Linguistics to begin in July 1, 2018. This is a
full-time appointment with multi-year renewal contingent on successful review.
Candidates must show demonstrated record of accomplishment in teaching and
research. The successful candidate will teach courses in syntax and phonology.
Expertise in another area of linguistics, such as historical linguistics,
language documentation, or discourse analysis, is desirable. The Lecturer will
be expected to participate in administering the undergraduate linguistics
program, including advising students and planning and developing the
curriculum. Minimum degree requirement: PhD. 

The successful candidate will be appointed in one of the Humanities or Social
Science Departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. 

This is a full-time appointment with multi-year renewal contingent on
successful reviews. The home academic department of the appointment will
depend on the successful candidate's area of training and expertise.
