Description:

The Department of Hebrew Language and Semitic Linguistics at Tel-Aviv
University, Israel, invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track
position in the Hebrew Language. The position is open to all scholars of all
phases of the language.

The position requires teaching in Hebrew of a variety of courses on the
periods of Hebrew, and the ability to conduct independent research and to
publish in refereed journals in Israel and abroad. Suitable candidates are
invited to apply. The position will be effective from October 2018.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D., or receive a Ph.D. before filling the position.
The position may lead to the granting of tenure at the end of the trial
period.

Salary and conditions will conform to Israeli University regulations.
Appointment procedures will be carried out according to the rules and
regulations of Tel-Aviv University and are subject to the approval of the
University authorities.

Three letters of recommendation from senior scholars are to be sent directly
to one of these addresses.

The deadline of submission is February 4th 2018.

The position is open to all candidates. The appointment will be based on

Tel-Aviv University are not obligated to appoint any of the candidates who
apply for the position.
