Meeting Description:

The meeting aims to bring together dialectologists working on any aspect of
the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of Italy (including non-Romance
varieties) and encourages all approaches – whether synchronic or diachronic,
descriptive or theoretical (all frameworks) – to the regional languages and
dialects spoken throughout Italy.


Call for Papers:

Abstracts on any aspect of the syntax and/or morphology of the dialects of
Italy (including non-Romance varieties) will be considered for presentation.
There will also be a one-day workshop devoted specifically to Sicilian
varieties. When submitting your abstract, please indicate whether you prefer
to submit it for the general session or for the workshop.

Accepted talks should be no more than 20 minutes in length (plus 10 minutes
for questions). Submissions are limited to 1 individual and 1 joint abstract
per author, or 2 joint abstracts per author. The abstract should include the
title, but not the author’s name(s). Abstracts should be no longer than two
pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point font size.

The conference languages are Italian and English.

Abstracts must be submitted no later than 20 March, 2018.

Speakers will be notified of the results of their abstract review by 20 April,
2018.
