Meeting Description:

We call teachers, students and investigators involved in the English language
teaching learning process to the II International Conference on the Didactics
of the English Language, which will be celebrated in the Pontifical Catholic
University of Ecuador, Esmeraldas Campus, on the 25 and 26 of October, 2018.

The papers will be evaluated by academic peers and will be published in the
records of the event with ISBN.

Objectives:

1. To promote the interchange of experiences and results of investigations and
projects which may contribute to improve the quality of the Didactics of the
English Language
2. To establish national and international research networks around the
Didactics of the English Language
3. To go deeper into and interchange scientific, theoretical and practical
view points in the area of the Didactics of the English Language
4. To contribute to the academic and scientific enrichment of the
professionals in charge of English Language teaching, either as a second or as
a foreign language
5. To bring solutions and reflections which may contribute to stimulate and
spread the development of science in realtion with the theme of the event

Thematic Areas: 

1. The investigation-action on the Didactics of English
2. The teaching of English with specific purposes
3. The use of technologies for English language learning
4. The educative inclusion in the English class
5. The preparation for the certified English tests
6. The Systems of the English Language

Keynote speeches:

Distinguished investigators and professionals from the area will be invited by
the Organizing Comittee in order to make dissertations on themes of interest
and relevance. The keynote speeches will last 60 minutes, followed by 20
minutes of interaction with participants.


Call for Participation:

Papers:

They should be in relation with any thematic area. For their evaluation, an
abstract will be presented first (máximum 450 words) and a synthesis of the
curriculum vitae of the autor(s) (máximum 200 words). The abstracts should be
unstructured, following the IMRAD (introduction with objectives, methods,
results and discussion) format.

The applications will be accepted or rejected within 30 days of reception.

To be able to present a paper, authors should be registered to the conference.
The bibliographical references should be written following APA Format, sixth
edition. The papers to be presented will be published in the web page of the
conference in the first half of September. Papers expositions will last 10-15
minutes.

Posters:

Some papers will be presented through posters which will be exhibited during
the conference. They should be in relation with the thematic áreas.

Workshops:

With the coordination of an expert in the area of the conference, some
workshops will be carried out. They will last 60 minutes.

Books exhibitions:

Some books used for English language teaching will be exhibited in some
specific places during the conference.

$100.00 USA  for teachers and researchers
$80.00 USA for PUCE teachers 
$70.00 USA, for university students
$60.00 USA for PUCE students
