The Linguistic Data Consortium (https://www.ldc.upenn.edu) (LDC) is pleased to
announce a new collaborative project for data collection and annotation.
LingoBoingo (https://lingoboingo.org/?ref=ll) is a web portal that brings
together new and existing web-based language games. Gamers and language lovers
can choose from a number of challenging games that are both fun to play and
provide useful annotations for language research.

The LingoBoingo web portal is part of a larger LDC project sponsored by a
National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to create infrastructure and tools
that use crowdsourcing, games, and alternative incentives to
promote contributions of language data that are shared with researchers and
the public.

LDC will continue to expand the website adding games developed in-house
or contributed by partners. If you have a language game that you would like to
add to the website and are willing to collaborate with LDC and share the
resulting data, please get in touch for more details.

For more information or any questions, please contact James Fiumara
(jfiumara at ldc.upenn.edu).

In the meantime, head on over to LingoBoingo
(https://lingoboingo.org/?ref=ll) and try out some fun language games!
