Description:

The University of Mannheim, School of Humanities, Department of English,
invites applications for a W 3-Professorship in English Linguistics to be
filled by 1 August 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will be a linguist conducting research and teaching
in the area of English Linguistics with a research focus on psycholinguistics
/ language acquisition. 
Teaching will be in English and will contribute to our interdisciplinary
degree programs at all levels (BA / MA and PhD level).

The successful candidate should be prepared to collaborate in linguistic and
interdisciplinary research projects in the department. The candidate will have
a forward-looking research program with the potential to attract international
collaboration and external funding.

The hiring procedure is subject to the requirements set out in §§ 47-48 of the
LHG Baden-Wuerttemberg. The University of Mannheim is an equal-opportunities
