Meeting Description:

We are pleased to announce that 1st LUAWMS International Conference on
Linguistics, September 17-18, 2018 will be held at the Faculty of Languages
and Literature, Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences,
Uthal, Balochistan, Pakistan. 

The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for researchers
working in the fields of Language and Linguistics at national and
international level in Pakistan to present their research studies. The
conference aims to support and encourage researchers (students and faculty) by
providing them an opportunity to present their work. Besides, the conference
will also be an opportunity and interactive session among participants and
scholars to share and get feedback for their research works. The conference
will bring the participants a significant gathering among researchers from all
over the country working on various fields of language and linguistics. The
conference would give them a platform to discuss their fields of interest. The
conference would be an opportunity for researchers to discuss their various
works on language typology.

Important Dates:

- The deadline for abstract submission: 20th August, 2018. 
- Notifications of acceptance: 31st August 2018
- The conference dates: September 17-18, 2018.

Registration Fees: Pakistani rupees Rs = 2000/

Note: The authors/presenters of the selected papers will be required to pay
the conference fee which covers conference bag, pamphlet, abstract booklet,
program, pad, pen, two lunches (17-18 September), four teas (twice a day). The
female presenters and participants will be given accommodation at the girls’
hostel of the university.

The conference venue:
 
Faculty of Languages and Literature, Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water
and Marine Science Uthal, Balochistan, Pakistan. The Lasbela University is
situated at Uthal which is 120 kilometers to the north of Karachi city on RCD
road in Balochistan province.

Call for Papers:

Abstract Guidelines:

- Abstracts can be submitted to zahiimahii85 at gmail.com and
nasirabbasla at gmail.com 
- Abstracts may be written clearly having stated research problem, objectives,
questions, methodology and findings/expected findings
- Abstracts must show the main field of linguistics
- Authors’ names, affiliations, emails and official addresses must be written.
- Abstracts should not exceed one A4/letter page
- Font size 12, Times New Roman and single line spacing
- The presenters will be given 20 minutes to present their work and 10 minutes
for question and answer session.

Abstracts on any topic from all areas of Theoretical Linguistics, General
Linguistics and Applied Linguistics are invited for the said conference. The
selected abstracts will be considered for presentation in the main session of
the conference. The conference covers the areas of:

- Morphology
- Phonetics and Phonology
- Syntax
- Discourse
- Pragmatics
- CDA
- Psycholinguistics
- Sociolinguistics
- Language Acquisition
