We are glad to announce the availability for downloading of the PhraseNET
Database Toolbox, an Academic freeware software for retrieval and extraction
phraseological units from Spanish texts with equivalents in Portuguese (by
now). It is based on my PhD thesis PhraseNET Automated Detection and
Extraction of Phraseological Units - Universitat Politecnica de Valencia
(2011)

Each computer application has different features and common to the rest of the
Computational Linguistics tools that exist. In this case, Phrasenet Database
Toolbox brings together innovative features that, among others, can satisfy
part of the difficulties of the automatic translators, because although it is
an automatic translator, it has features that make it an extractor of
Phraseological Units in Spanish with equivalent in Portuguese or, could be
subject of another project with equivalents in another language (future
project). Although the tool has been developed with corpus and database
patterns written in Spanish, the information extraction system can be applied
to corpus written or with equivalents in other languages.

PhraseNET Database Toolbox is a short term for PhraseNET Database Toolbox and
Numerical Methods for Retrieval and Extraction of Phraseological Units
representing more broadly the key tags of this application. In short,
information extraction is a system capable of extracting from relevant
documents only the information required, in this case phraseological units.
Information retrieval is an ordered storage system of documents in a database.
