Meeting Description:

Queer studies have boosted exponentially during the past years, with more and
more specialists, trends of thought and reference works which have allowed us
to delve into this field from different perspectives and approaches, more an
dmore dynamic. as a consequence of that growth, LGTBIQ+ issues have become a
central research topic, relevant for people with varied motivations and
academic background.

MariCorners comes up in a context of interdisciplinary swing, and it aims at
becoming a forum to share queer works of research, impressions and other
realities concerning this field.


Call for Papers:

MariCorners will have presentations, conferences, round tables and poster
sessions. It is open to anyone who wants to share their work and research, as
long as they are related, in some way, to LGTBIQ + issues.

Our thematic panels aim to collect as much disciplinary variety as possible,
so we invite you to present your proposal in the thematic area that best fits
your interests, or to intermingle and combine them as you deem appropriate: 

Language : sociolinguistics, pragmatics, lexicology, translation, phonetics. 
Social sciences : art, history, philosophy, gender studies, sociology,
education, economics, psychology ....
Architecture and urbanism
Natural sciences: physics, biology, chemistry, medicine, ecology ...
New media and supports:  videogames, social networks ...

Presentation proposals may be sent until July 31, 2018. Proposals must consist
of a title and a summary of a maximum of 300 words. Proposals will be accepted
in Spanish and English. To submit a proposal, please visit
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=maricorners19 . By doing so, you will
go to Easychair. It will be necessary to register as an Easychair user, but it
is quick and easy. Once the deadline for receipt of proposals is closed, they
will undergo an anonymous and confidential evaluation by the scientific
committee (yes, important people who know about these things), to guarantee
rigor and transparency when organizing our program. In addition, it is planned
to publish a monograph with the most relevant presentations and conferences,
after the congress.
