Meeting Description:

It is a pleasure to invite you to the BALEAP 2019 Conference, the global forum
for EAP. The conference is organised by the Language Centre at the University
of Leeds and will take place in Leeds from Friday April 12 to Sunday April 14
of 2019.

The theme of BALEAP 2019 is Innovation, Exploration and Transformation.

Our conference website http://baleap2019.co.uk is now live where further
information about the conference is available. Information about conference
themes, strands and types of proposals are available as well as guidelines to
help you think about your submissions. 

Information about the conference will be updated regularly on the website so
please bookmark the site and check regularly. Updates will also be announced
on this list and on twitter with the hashtag #baleap19.

Call for Papers:

Deadline for submissions is the 1 October, 2018. 

Each proposal will be reviewed by multiple reviewers from different
institutions. Proposals including primary research should indicate adherence
to local ethics practices.

Notices of acceptance will be sent no later than November 1.

General information for all formats:

When preparing your proposal, you need to follow these instructions:
- The title of the proposal can be up to 100 characters (including spaces).
- Include one proposal text with the following three headings: 

Abstract for publication:

The abstract will be published on the conference website. 
The abstract should address the conference theme, describing the proposal’s
topic and indicating the literature, methods, evidence and conclusions, or the
literature and current EAP conversations it engages with.

Papers:

We invite proposals for single paper presentations on the conference theme,
especially those which and are on completed projects. The goal of these papers
is to share knowledge and to encourage critical dialogue among conference
participants.  

- Paper proposals should be submitted by the first author and will last a
maximum of 20 
minutes each. 
- The abstract part of the proposal text should be between 300 and 400 words
